In Sequence

I don't think I shall ever forget the events of the last couple years of my life. Hard as they were, they have surely been an important part in my personal journey. And through all the loss, the insomnia, and the nothing working out the way I wanted, I still have hope. Partially due to it all leading me to The Deafening Silence. I'm in a much better place now and that's partly to do with being able to express myself freely here through it all, and down to the love and support that you all have given me for which I am eternally grateful. And always will be.

I've been spending alot of time recently between my care shifts, jamming away on my synthesizer, making little videos for YouTube and Instagram, and noodling away on my guitar. After the last album 'Night Lights', I needed a break. Just a couple months to refresh my creative energy and focus on my real life job. It can be hard sometimes to find the balance. But I think I'm finally getting the hang of it.

The title 'In Sequence' is a three part play on words. The first meaning is in reference to the sequence of events in life that lead you to important destinations which this last year has delivered me. We all have our own unique experiences that change our direction for better or for worse. The second is referring to keeping a routine that suits your needs and your wellbeing. Not necessarily a strict routine, but a structure that suits you as an individual. And the third, of course, is representing the Sequencer driven Berlin school style that I have further explored with this release.

It's been very cathartic to work on this album at a much slower and more careful pace than I usually do. I hope it brings you as much comfort and emotion as it has brought me in making it.
